Overview:
We are hiring on behalf of a modular construction firm based near Chambersburg seeking a Welder to support steel frame fabrication for prefabricated residential and commercial units. This role is ideal for candidates with a background in structural welding or manufacturing environments focused on high-precision builds.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform MIG welding on structural steel and light-gauge framing for modular units.
- Read and interpret blueprints and welding symbols to ensure accurate fabrication.
- Conduct quality checks to meet both in-house tolerances and code compliance.
- Collaborate with assemblers, engineers, and supervisors to maintain efficient workflow.
- Maintain clean and safe work environment and adhere to company safety standards.
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience in MIG welding (fabrication shop or structural preferred).
- Ability to work with jigs, fixtures, and fabrication tables.
- Familiarity with modular building processes a plus.
- Welding certifications (AWS D1.1 or equivalent) preferred but not required.
- Strong work ethic and team-first attitude.
Compensation & Schedule:
- Full-time, hourly (rate based on experience and certs)
- Overtime available during peak production cycles
- Consistent Monday–Friday schedule
